1 1/2 lbs. hot Italian sausage (casing removed and crumbled)
1 lg. onion, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. Wesson oil
2 (15 oz.) cans Hunts Chili Beans (undrained)
2 (15 oz.) cans Hunts Tomato Sauce
1 (28 oz.) can Hunts Whole Tomatoes, drained and crushed
1 c. beer or beef broth
2 tbsp. Chili Powder
2 tbsp. seeded and diced jalapeƱo peppers (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
Shredded Cheddar cheese, sour cream, green onions
Cook the crumbled sausage, onion, and garlic in a dutch oven or large saucepan with a little oil until meat is don and pink is gone, drain. Stirring constantly, add the remaining ingredients except green onion, cheddar, and sour cream. Simmer for 45 minutes and top each serving with exceptions previously mentioned.
