INGREDIENTS
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 (15 ounce) can baked beans
1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
DIRECTIONS
Saute ground beef for 5 minutes in a large saucepan until browned and add the onion and pepper until softened, season with salt and pepper.
Mix in the vegetables, seasonings, and brown sugar, stirring well and reducing heat to low, simmering for 20 minutes to an hour or more till desired thickness is achieved.
